Approximately two in five persons who experienced threatened assault in Queensland (39% or 42,600) experienced a single incident, while 38% (41,400) experienced three or more incidents. Of those who experienced face-to-face threatened assault:

Break-in and attempted break-in During the 2017–18 reference period, 2.5% of households in Queensland (47,600) experienced a break-in. Of these, 74% (35,100) had the most recent incident reported to police. During the same period, an estimated 2.5% of households in Queensland (46,900) experienced an attempted break-in. Of these, 44% (20,500) had the most recent incident reported to police. Theft from a motor vehicle An estimated 2.0% of households in Queensland (37,100) experienced theft from a motor vehicle, which was lower than the national rate (3.1%). Of these households, 61% (22,700) had the most recent incident reported to police. Malicious property damage In Queensland, an estimated 4.4% of households (83,100) experienced malicious property damage, which was lower than the national rate (5.1%).Of these households, half (53% or 43,600) had the most recent incident reported to police.
